Born from the closure of Northcourt Primary School in 2003, we were initially under the management of Kent County Council (KCC).

By 2007, we had transformed into an independent trust, gaining charitable status in 2008 - marking the inception of the Riverside Community Resource Trust (RCRT) and our autonomous management of the Riverside Centre, led by a passionate and experienced Board of Trustees and hard working and dedicated team of staff.

Our Mission

Our Mission

Our mission at the Riverside Community Resource Trust is to enhance the quality of life and overall well-being for every member of our community.

We strive to establish a unique community facility, which is sustainable, flexible, and able to adapt and evolve with the community and clients it serves. The Riverside Centre is a first-class community resource providing facilities for education, recreation, and leisure time.
We don't see change as a challenge, but as an opportunity for development & innovation
The Riverside Centre stands as a testament to this mission - a first-class community resource, offering top-tier facilities for education, recreation, and leisure.

This is more than just a building; it's a living, breathing space dedicated to community growth, personal development, and the celebration of shared experiences. We are here for Gravesend, today and every day.
